I have so many lemons at the moment and would like to know if any mums have ideas on how to use them that doesn’t involve cooking or baking?

  • Great to make natural cleaning products with or to scent your home.


  • have heard they are good for cleaning with. great to juice and freeze in ice cube trays for later use. swapping produce with neighbors or family is an idea.


  • Use them to make natural cleaning products.


  • If you want to lighten your hair, rub lemon juice into your hair and go out into the sun.


  • You could squeeze them and pour the juice into ice cube trays. Then add them to glasses of water for a tangy, healthy drinks.


  • You can use them to make invisible ink for the kids.


  • Lemons purify your blood,just by adding some juice to water should be beneficial.When eating with fish & chips they help break down the fat.We grew up with pike lets with sugar & lemon juice.


  • Lemon juice is great for removing stains. Apply to stain, sit in sun til dry and wash. Also good for rust removal.


  • If you live on the mornington peninsula, I will come get them. Mum has a lung disease, and lemons are her thing, every morning in a glass of hot water x

  • I forgot to mention preserved lemon, cut lemon into slices, and put in an airtight jar with lots and lots of salt. After a couple of weeks you can cut the zest off and use it in pasta, cous cous, fish/seafood and Mediterranean style dishes


  • You can juice them and freeze them in ice cube trays and you’ll never need to buy store bought lemon juice again. I cut some up, put them in the (stainless steel) kettle and boil it a few times to get rid of stains, you can clean the sink with a cut lemon and bicarb soda, a slice in hotwater with honey is great ifmyou have a sore throat. Lemon squeezed over fresh pancakes with sugar or squeezed over seafood, or pasta. The zest is great too
