  • I’d go cream or off white to add brightness and still go well with the brown.

  • I moved into a house like that, and I had to repaint. It was just too depressing. If you can’t do that, red would look good.

  • Beige and blue maybe

  • I love greens – try a mint or sage.

  • Teal or orange go well with browns or maybe a mix of both even possibly red

  • I would add brighter warm colours like reds, yellows, orange. Might look very 1970’s though.

  • Creams, orange, white and green would brighten the lounge up!

  • Brown can go with cream, pink , crimson , purple ,

  • Lots of colours! Say, an autumn theme of brown, orange, red and yellow and greens.

  • I know your chaise is brown, but I love this scheme…

  • I love adding red, mahogany goes great with other brown furniture.. You could also try a feature wall to brighten things up :).

  • duck egg blue is nice with brown or any autumn colour.

  • Hot pink!

  • Nice shades of red ,awaken the room ,earth tones go well together & never get too dirty looking .

  • get a light colour like baby blue, cream etc to brighten it up
