Hello!

Hello, so I have a 6 month old baby boy. When he was born, he went straight into the nursery and while in the nursery (for 2 weeks) they weren’t putting his head on the sides, and was just straight on the back of his head. Then as we got him home, he slept lots and would turn his head so it was flat on the back of his head. Now he’s older, and his head is very flat on the back, is there anyway or techniques I could try to help to change or form it so it’s not so flat?

  • We consulted a physiotherapist for that.

  • Encourage your little one for tummy time and if your little one is able to roll safely maybe can try sleeping on his sides or tummy if he can do it safely?

  • Lot of tummy time

  • I forgot to add we did tummy time heaps as well but she favoured one side in her sleep. so she was constantly learning more to the right but the mije pillow helped keep her head upright while she slept. and if she did happen to tilt her head in her sleep the pillow helped to get rid of the flat spot anyway. I would go and see the gp and see what they say, as if it’s only mild once babies are more upright and off their backs it tends to heal on its own.

  • I had that with my daughter so I bought and started using a mije pillow on her and it fixed the problem. She was around the same age and the doctor said if I didn’t try and fix it at home she might of had to wear a helmet. With my second i took no chances and used it every night.

  • Maybe get gp advice. It may not be necessary to do anything
