Hello!

I was advised to breastfeed during the day and give a bottle last thing at night (so that the twins slept longer and I got more rest) but I would often wake in the night with leaking breasts and needed a towel until feed time came. Did anyone else have this and what did you do?

  • This happened to me too, if bub was still asleep I would just wake up and pump for awhile.

  • I pumped at that last feed time even though they had a bottle – I found it really helped reduce leaking.

  • Who advised this? I have never had twins and can only imagine hoe engorged your boobs must be after missing feeds! I always had to wear a bra with breast pads in them. Perhaps get some second advice? ABA, Tresillian or GP? Could always express before you go to sleep

  • Your body is constantly producing milk. I wear breastpads still and my bub is 7 months. Id suggest expressing then to save some of the milk. But no way of stopping sorry.

  • A very soft towel may help too?

  • Good quality breast pads may help – ones that are absorbent.
