Time to your yourself!

  • Coffee with friends


  • I love baking, crochet, knitting and sewing but have little time these days. A couple of minutes in the sun, gardening, a phone call / coffee with a friend, a good book before bed and going alone to the grocery store in the weekend whilst my hub looks after the kids is my time out at the moment.


  • I love to crochet so if I had a chunk of time to myself that is what I would do. In saying that I have a 6 month old at the moment, so I’d be happy with an uninterrupted bath/shower and a nice cup of tea.


  • I do a few different things. I attend a work out class in the park once a week. I get a monthly massage and occasional pedicure.
    I also try to have a kid free outing wether it be lunch, coffee, movie, tea, trivia nights etc at least once a month with my girlfriends. Date night out of the house with the husband will be a thing of the future (have 8 week old boob fed Bub) but we still manage date night at home. Once the kids are down we have a nice adult meal and then us time


  • I love photography so enjoy time out by walking to the local park and capturing some of Mother Natures beauty … sunrise/sunset, trees in full bloom, the resident magpie, dew on the grass – relaxing yet inspirational at the same time!


  • I love to go and have my eyes done wax and tinting and a look around the shops.


  • I do crosswords or read. I’ll also go and have coffee with my girlfriends, even if we all have our kids, they amuse themselves and we can chat.


  • I find I like to relax when I have me time. I don’t make plans, I just go with the flow and do whatever my mood dictates


  • Go to a movie with a friend. I also enjoy reading a great novel.


  • It can be going to my weekly aqua aerobic classes or if my husband cant get home in time I’ll head up to the local 24 hour gym. Or else if i need to “tap out” as such I’ll go to a movie. Sometimes by myself and sometimes with a friend


  • Gosh often time alone is so functional… I’ve recently tried to have some evenings out like catch up with a friend for dinner with NO KIDS! It was so lovey to have time to chat. Also went to see a movie at the cinema, that seemed like a really treat


  • Often it’s a frame of mind I’m in… I can have time out doing activities like swimming or jogging and not really ‘appreciate’ it… conversely I can be on a ‘family walk’ and manage to lag behind and switch off and get my time out in mini bursts as I need it!!


  • Like some of the other MoM answers to this question being on this site is time out! :)


  • During the cool weather I tend to go for walks to escape to a quiet spot.
    I love curling up with a book. If I fall asleep while reading I get more peace because the family know better than to wake me. If I know the shops will be quiet I may indulge in some shopping without bored whinging kids.


  • Catch up with friends over a glass of wine or a cup of coffee. Go to bed early (I have an electrical adjustable bed) with a good book :)
