Hello!

Lately I have been extremely tired. It seems no matter how much sleep I get, I am still exhausted. Does anyone have any ideas that could help me?

  • I think a chat with your doctor would be in order. Probably blood tests would be arranged to make sure there are no underlying reasons. It’s always good to get a checkup when things aren’t feeling right.

  • You may not be getting all the nutrients you need. Cut back on hard to digest animal products, processed foods and white processed carbs, and start eating more fruit and raw salads. Try celery juice every morning too.

  • I found a bit of exercise and meditation helped me. I was always so tired so just collapsed on the lounge once the kids were in bed, but since taking the dog for a little walk and then doing a quick meditation (I just got a free app on my phone) of only 10 mins (or more if you can) seemed to really help. Also I’ve been mindful of eating plenty of fruit & veg without changing my diet so not sure if that’s helped either. I’ve also heard magnesium can help?

  • hard to say. try getting in more iron and more vitamin d. work out to boost energy levels. get good quality sleep.

  • Do you snore? You could have Sleep Apnea. You may actually stop breathing for a few seconds. I know a guy who suffers from it. He had a sleep study in hospital. They discovered that he partially wakes up a lot during the night but isn’t aware of it. He complained of always feeling tired when he got up in the morning even if he went to bed early. He now has a CPAP machine which he uses every night. He was told by a specialist that if he didn’t do something about it, he would be ordering a wooden box. That is how serious the problem was.

  • The first point of call might be the Drs and some routine blood tests. You don’t want to be chasing your tail with trying different remedies if there is an underlying cause. I went through a stage where I was so exhausted I could hardly stand or move, turns out there was a medical reason behind it and I’m to be on treatment probably for the rest of my life. Not saying this is the case, but certainly worth investigating first

  • Pleasure – good to read – hope they can help you out and you get some answers and get your energy back. :)

  • Thanks for your feedback ladies. I have an appointment with my GP this week.

  • Best to have a check up with your GP. Being constantly tired is horrible – poor you! :(

  • Sometimes if you are lacking in iron you are always tired.

  • I would go to the GP and have my iron checked. And my vitamin D too.
