  • Well we now live in a Social Media world and people intend to get there kicks out of doing this sad very sad

  • I think they’re living a sad life

  • Sadly in todays society everything is all about Instagram twitter and facebook

  • If someone I knew was being trolled I’d advise them to stay off social media for a while. If you respond to bullies you are giving them what they want. If you don’t respond I’m guessing they get bored and move on.

  • It’s disgusting. They have nothing better to do, and feel powerful, when in fact they are cowards, bullies, the worst type of people in today’s society. I use social media, my husband hates it, and to be honest I will try and keep my kids away from it for as long as I can!

  • They are everywhere, they have nothing better to do and they have no care or concern for anyone else. This is the sad world we live in. It’s easiest to avoid social media as much as possible

  • I live by the mantra “don’t feed the trolls”

  • Very low bullying. They need to be reported for sure.

  • I think they are low life cowards! Abusing and bullying people from a keyboard often under a false name

  • In 2015 when my younger sibling was 10 there were messages going around her school that the boys were sending to each other, threatening physical violence on them and their families and pets, calling each other every horrid name under the sun and using language that is even disgusting on an adult. It makes me sick to my stomach that people think its acceptable behaviour, especially the younger generation, where are their parents? Why aren’t their screen times being monitored and where is the parental control? It’s even worse when adults do it, great role models for the younger generations…not. I’ve always been brought up to live by the saying “if you have nothing nice to say, don’t say anything at all.” It breaks my heart finding out about people taking their lives because of hurtful things people say on the internet. I just don’t understand how hard it is to be nice to someone, whether you like them or not. The world has so much beauty to share with the people on it, the people that accept it are beautiful inside and out, those who don’t may have a nice exterior but they truly have an ugly heart and soul.

  • I find it very sad how much hate and intolerance there is in this world and social media has just given more power to these people. They can say what they like without having to answer to it but I think it is very important that we try not to feed them with return fire or letting it get to us because they relish in it. The are like a playground bully…if you react and give them the response they want they will just keep coming at you, but if you ignore them you take away their power and eventually they give up and move on.

  • Really sad now that everyone gets to have a public opinion on other people’s lives

  • I think it’s something that normal people find quite hard to understand. It’s why on many sites I don’t read the comments at all – it’s just full of troll like comments. But it’s easy for me to ignore them; I’ve never been a target.

  • Trolls seem to think because they are faceless it doesn’t matter. Families are shattered. Yet new technology is now starting to catch them out! Consequences!

  • There are plenty or good resources/supports/tips for dealing with online behaviour and mental health. Right now it is an important time to look after mental health.
