Hello!

I am seeing more and more posts, ads and recipes that use an air fryer and I’m now feeling like I should be on board this air train of healthy goodness. Am I missing out? Do I need another kitchen appliance that takes up space? Help a mumma out and let me know your thoughts!

  • I don’t really think I need one I don’t think it’s a necessary appliance to have

  • THANKS for posting this Kidsquad3…I do have an air fryer but it is still in the box and unused till my son finally moves all his belonging into his place. We have a large coffee machine on the bench at present but this is going with son sooo I will be able to unpack and start to use my air fryer. Great comments from moms …I’m even more excited about the prospects of using this than I was before. Wishing you good luck and happy purchase.

  • So glad you posted this question as I’m in the same boat as you. I’ve been thinking about it for a while but wasn’t sure if it was going to be worth having another appliance in the kitchen taking up space……..but after reading the comments I think I will be

  • I cook nearly everything in my air fryer. I find I don’t use most other appliances in my kitchen anymore

  • We cook so much in our air fryer! It really is a much healthier option for chips and things like that.

I have made slices, brownies, roasts, nuggets for the kids, I have even used mine to make some healthy dog treats!! You wont be sorry if you get one, but do some research first as there are so many different types with different sizes, extra accessory options etc! :)

  • I love, love, love it. I jus got the $69 air fryer from kmart and it worked great for my needs. I didn’t think I needed a mega large one as I didn’t really want to be cooking roast chooks etc. It is great to whip up a batch of hot chips, to warm and crisp up little pies, hash browns, veg, pizza etc. we all love to eat a can of chick peas that I have cooked up in there and they make a fabulous healthy snack. I’ve also made my own chicken nuggets in it and cooked a chicken breast fillet. Am still experimenting, but so far it is great.

  • We love our air fryer! We cook everything in it. I just wish my basket was a little bigger! It feels good knowing I can occasionally have something not so healthy but without all that oil!

  • I like my air fryer as it saves me using my oven and works faster! Roasts and roast veg are great in it as well as sausages, pastries and chips. I do think it encourages us to eat more unhealthy type foods though so need to be strict with what we buy for it.

  • I love mine I can do anything from pastries to fried chicken, chips etc. The choice is endless and its a healthier option too.

  • I love my air fryer and use it constantly to get that fried effect without the oil and making the meal unhealthy. I use it for vegies, chips, wedges and hash browns

  • We love ours! So much healthier and does so much! We have a Phillips Air Fryer, with the metal basket inside. It is fantastic. If you don’t already, follow Jimmy Rees on Facebook, also known as Jimmy Giggle from Giggle & Hoot. He shows us what’s in his airfryer every day. Hilarious.

  • Very handy especially if you hate frying or using a lot of oil. It does a good job in my opinion

  • I don’t have one and I too am considering getting one. Thanks for raising this question – I will follow this thread with interest.

  • One friend of mine has it and she uses it a lot. Perfect for potatoes, salmon, nuts…
Maybe one day I will buy it too, but not for now.

  • I am intrigued by the use of an air fryer.
