Hello!

I am interested in hearing what you clean your three pack poly kitchen cupboards with. My kitchen is only fairly new and I am not 100% satisfied with the cleaning products on the market. My cupboards are gloss white and I am very weary what I clean them with. The kitchen firm/builder did give me a sample and name of a brilliant product that is environmentally friendly and safe but it is extremely expensive. I have Googled and one post said to use vinegar and water and I am considering this method. Gumption and many other things are not recommended for these finishes but there does not seem to be any special product available from supermarkets, it is possible to purchase special granite and stone cleaner at supermarkets but there is nothing specially suited for cupboards. Do you have any advice that can help me. Thanks in advance.

Cheers cherz.

  • I usually use good old fashioned hot water and white vinegar with a squirt of detergent and plenty of elbow grease!

  • I just use spray and white for my cupboards and do it reguarly

  • Ajax spray is a good one to use!

  • Jiff with a clux works every time in my kitchen.Good Luck!

  • I use Bosistos Eucalyptus spray for cleaning mine as it is natural and also disinfects.

  • I use water and vinegar and its great. It doesnt have nasty chemicals in it like others, is really cheap, isnt harmful like most others which means the kids could help you and it cleans everything without a problem. Ive been using it for years and hardly EVER use anything else.

  • I clean with water and eucalyptus oil. It’s a natural disinfectant.

  • Thanks so much everyone, I have taken all suggestions on board. :-)

  • My cupboard doors are a semi-gloss also in white. I simply use a sponge and a bit of dishwashing detergent, wipe clean and then go over them with a handtowel. This works just fine without having to purchase an additional cleaning product. Good luck!

  • I use Ajax spray & wipe on my poly cupboards & it works! Windex is great for a sparkling finish too!

  • If you use ammonia you may need to use a mask or protective glasses. I can’t go near it. The fumes from it make my cough and my eyes sting and run within a couple of minutes even with doors and window open for ventilation.

  • i use either vinegar and water or if I want a real good clean, eg something has been spilt in the pantry, I get out the spray and wipe. You can always look at Norwex cloths as well as their other non-chemial cleaning products as an alternative, Ive had great results with some of their things

  • Ammonia mixed with water in a spray bottle. I am thinking about adding a few drops of fragrance to improve the smell – but it works well with a microfibre cloth.

  • jiffand I love micro fibre clothes, esp my e-cloths

  • I have used car paint polish to get off marks like nail-polish scratches on doors. This works a treat. 2 pack paint is used by spray painters and my brother uses this for his kitchen and furniture. I love it!
