Hello!

Hellofresh is it fresh? Worth the money? Cheaper then doing groceries every week? In your opinion

  • I have had one bad experience with the meat turning up not 100% sealed so it was smelly and they refunded me the me price but still not great for a first experience. Taste wise I was happy but not over the moon

  • I think it depends on how many you are feeding for cost. The ingredients seem to be fresh, but quite often fall on the small side – meat is about 100g per person. It’s handy to get what you need to make meals without having to plan your own.

  • Depends how many people your buying for.. me and my husband got them and it does end up cheaper but we did get sick of the meals easily.

  • I like it and the discount codes are really good if you want to try it. Every plate is cheaper if you don’t want to spend as much.

  • I haven’t tried it, but I know some of my neighbors have and they like it. I looked online and it’s abit expensive, but if it gets the amount of meals you need quickly, then that’s great.

  • Hello fresh is good if there’s 1 or 2 of you, but I don’t really recommend it for families. You still need to do heaps of shopping for breakfast lunches and snacks so it doesn’t save a trip to the shops, I can make meals for much cheaper as well. The variety and trying new recipes is fun though. My friend does hello fresh one week of the month just to try out new food which seems to work got her.

  • My partner currently uses hellofresh as im on a restricted diet. He loves it. Just make sure you choose your own recipes before the cut off date or you will end up with some recipes you may not like. Saves the hassle of going shopping as he has no idea how to cook or what to cook and the easy to follow recipe cards are fantastic for him

  • I personally love it, makes dinner time so easy plus it’s yummy and affordable, we’ve been enjoying it for a few weeks now and we’re going to keep going

  • A friend who’s partnered but no kids enjoys it for the variety it gives them. But it’s very expensive for a family, in my opinion.

  • Have not used myself, however i know quite a few people who have used it and love it for its convenience, ease and flavour. They feel it is quite worth it for their lifestyles.

  • Had a few missing items but they were good with fixing it. Food tastes great but they are small portions

  • I did something similar during the lockdown and I must say my family and I really enjoyed for a short time. It made family cooking fun and our kids loved getting involve with cooking due to the recipe cards it gives you with a picture of how your meal will look. We found in the long run this sort of meal delivery groceries does eat into your family budget. Back to do own groceries shopping but we tend to go back and use the recipes cards for some of our weekly meals.

  • I love HelloFresh though I don’t get it every week. The recipe cards are easy to follow , the ingredients all provided except for staples like oil, the meals are delicious.

  • I’ve tried last week as I had a discount code. I liked it, but to be completely honest I do not think is worth full price. I would probably go ahead with ordering if the price was half of what it is (or even less). Just because the portion is not much. For some meals I received a ripped veggie, for which they only give you $5 off your full price box (not worth). Also, for us was not very convenient as we usually make meals that allow left overs so lunch next day is covered – which of course hello fresh won’t allow that. So I would probably say give it a go (one box only) if you find a good coupon code that will save you at least half of the price.

  • I’ve been using it for awhile now. The recipes get a little repetitive with using the same ingredients, but I find it convenient. I don’t have to think about what to make and everything is pre portioned so I don’t over eat.
