  • My kids love fruit, All fruit and lots of it. To be honest I dont limit fruit at all. They are all very active kids and I would much prefer them to have fruit than other not so healthy snacks..
While all fruits are nutritious some are higher in sugar than others so if that’s what you are worried about berries are a good option and they are super high in antioxidants as well.

  • Anything in season is great. Apples are good year round but I love to include stone fruit and berries when in season.

  • Apples and bananas are always good.

  • Berries are very good but can be expensive. Apples, oranges, and avocados are all good as well.

  • If you buy seasonal fruits, you won’t have a problem as they’ll have a good mix of fruits.

  • As mentioned most fruits are great for growing kids and bubs. Best to go organic. Personally apple, bananas and strawberries are great and for both Bub and Mum!

  • So many good answers here. As mentioned already, a variety of fruits is best in my opinion. I tend to try to buy organic as much as possible though to avoid my children eating pesticides.

  • I think any fruit is good for your kids and I encourage mine to eat it but I am a big fan of both apples and bananas and happy for them to have them every day.

  • I think a variety of fruits is best, we have blueberries or strawberries, mandarins, apples, pears, bananas, oranges and kiwi fruits weekly plus we alternate pineapple, cantaloupe, mango, peaches, nectarines and what ever else jumps out at us at the fruit shop. :-) we love fruit, my little one (1yr old) has about 4 pieces a day, for snacks and after lunch and dinner!!

  • I’d say berries: strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries… Full of antioxidants and great for everyone!!

  • I think variety is the best way to ensure little ones get all of the nutrients they need. My little guy’s favourite is banana and mango but in any given month we also eat Watermelon, Kiwi, Oranges, Apple, Plums, Peaches, Strawberries, Blueberries, Grapes and more. Basically whatever is in season. Each fruit offers something different and there are only one or two types he dislikes.

  • An apple during the day never fails. I have one myself at work for morning tea.

  • Apples and oranges are easy for the lunchbox and seasonal fruits for something different!

  • Bananas and apples are a staple here and we get whatever else is in season i.e. citrus, berries, melon etc. I think all fruit is good – just not too much of the same thing all the time.

  • I think all fruits are great for kids, variety is key.
I have three kids and one is a kiwi fan, another a berry fanatic and the third is in love with apples.
