Hello!

I keep buying bras that are fitted for me however I seem to have trouble with them being comfortable all day (I’m continually tugging at them) and they are definetly not supportive for fitness/sport. What is a good brand/style of bra that you have found is comfortable and supportive for the larger breasted woman?

  • Nowadays you have these wireless bras for larger women, my daughter swears by it.

  • I would be going back to the store that fitted you with I’ll fitting bras and see if there’s any more they can offer.

  • I am not sure where you live but I go to a shop in Brisbane called Big Girls Dont Cry and I have not had a problem since going there. They measure and fit you when you go there and help you decide on Underwire bras or Soft Cup Bras. I wear soft cup as I find the underwires are uncomfortable nearmy underarm.

  • Forgot to mention that apart from Ultimo I also shop at Bras and Things as well as the Berlei factory outlet. Bras and things have an array of brands that have larger bust sizes available. Sometimes in Bras and Things I have been surprised by brands that I would never have thought would cater to larger sizes having some really nice and comfy bras.

  • I actually find the Ultimo brand pretty true to size and they have good cup coverage so you’re not spilling out of them. You do have to order them through a rep/party plan, but they have bras you are able to try on.

  • I like triumphs traction bras.
I’m 18E and these are so comfy. The straps are wide, 3 or 4 hooks at the back, full cups so no double boon, separated cups so no monoboob.
My favourite one has stretchy material, but there’s one with stiffer material that makes me look smaller.
I tried them on at Myer, I liked the look of the Berlie sports bras, but they just didn’t seem to fit right or weren’t as supportive. Yes I was checking the bounce factor in the change room.
I think triumph website gives you a $20 discount on first purchase.
    Good luck!

  • Fayreform are good bras for bigger busted gals. I also shop at Bras and things as they have nice bras now for the over D cups! Some sexy, some comfy

  • elle macpherson is my favourite

  • Might also be a good idea to join online group for some advice. I belongs to some groups for clothing and people share there opinions and ideas on a range of clothing related issues.

  • Fayreform bras are a bit more expensive, but they have soft padded and comfortable straps and they keep shape and support breasts. I buy them when they are on special from David Jones and Myers. The colours are limited, but the most comfortable bra for wearing all day long and I do not tug and have to fiddle with the straps. They also have larger sizes, which is fabulous!

  • I found some good bras in Bonds new bigger bra range. I use Berlei for sports bras, they are great for extra support.
