  • Lovely to read the different answers !

  • anything Mustela! It smells amazing and super good for the skin

  • White King Mould and soap scum remover. Love it! Just spray it on and leave foe 5 minutes the rinse off.

  • Weleda skin food is my most favourite moisturiser. Especially lovely in the winter time. I’m never without it

  • Cleaning – Melamine sponge from Daiso.. I use them to clean everything!! And no bad odours.

  • Love reading the ideas. I’ve discovered any cooking grade coconut oil is great for skin care… decant from cooking size jar into a small pot when the fat is liquid. it sets hard when cold. Makes rough skin soft, eases all sorts of irritation, moisturising/emollient powers are great, also anti-bacterial/fungal so does heaps of good all over, especially feet!

  • Sunlight soap! Best. Laundry. Product. Ever. Pretreat stains before laundering with your next laundry load. Too easy! S

  • Oil of OLAY it smells nice makes my skin soft and is well priced.

  • Vinegar and bicarb for cleaning the house. Might take a bit more elbow grease but my children’s eczema has improved since I’ve stopped using chemicals in the house, even using a small amount of vinegar instead of fabric softener and it works brilliantly.

  • The Chux dishwand has made cleaning the dishes & cutlery before placing in the dishwasher & is perfect for getting into my nespresso milk frother!

  • Drunk elephant syrum and la la retro cream!
It was the only thing that worked on my skin when I was pregnant. I had super dry and flaky skin on my face, I was embarrassed to go out because I’d be flaking all over my face even when I’d applied a tonne of moisturiser in the morning.
Thank goodness the chick at mecca recommended it to me otherwise I’d have stayed home forever.

  • vinegar – for cooking, cleaning, washing etc

  • Aquaphor – I use it as an occlusive and it keeps my skin looking supple and dewy. Its also great to use on abrasions

  • I agree with the comment below about paw paw ointment. It is so affordable and so effective.

  • waxed floss tape! Makes flossing so much easier, and less painful than the standard skinny floss, which can feel like piano wire on sore gums. But the tape is also handy as an emergency tie/shoe lace. I also have used an empty floss container instead of scissors when travelling (back pre covid) on planes, to cut thread and yarn when sewing and crocheting.
