  • I’m on a cheap plan for my internet and landline, but our mobiles are with
    Aldi.

  • This isnt a plan, but i just took myself off a plan with telstra for 140 a month, and switched my number to prepaid, and now im paying 30 a month for everything i got in my plan!
So much cheaper, avoid late fees, saves 110 a month, downside is you have to prepare tl buy the phone outright, was quite annoyed when i found prepaid was very similar to plan deals having everything unlimited, makes plans look like a waste of money to me now ????

  • I’m interested in hearing about this also.

  • The best mobile plan, not as a bundle though, is Boost. You pay $40 a month for unlimited calls, texts and some data

  • I have been with Telstra for years, and call and negotiate EVERY plan – for example, have iphone 6, and instead of $100 a month, I pay $67 – it took a bit of haggling, but I said if they want to keep my business, they have to work for it x

  • It really does depend on what your needs will be and which service you will use the most. Importantly shop around and get the best deals.

  • shop around. if you are happy with your provider, get them to work out a bundle package for you, with internet and phone

  • TPG are really really good…give them a try!

  • It really does depend on what exactly you want to use your phone and internet for. If you want sms, internet and use your phone a lot you would want a plan with a data package and a bundle with so many unlimited calls or text etc. Shop around as every company has different deals. We use the internet heaps for downloading and use our phones regularly including the internet so we are with telstra and have our home phone, internet and foxtel bundled with extra discounts on our mobile. Telstra do stuff up the bill every month but they do fix it when we ring and speak with them.

  • what about dodo $39.99mth for unlimited talk n txt and 5gb of data for mobile im looking into this but am finding it hard to get a starter sim

  • Im currently with Telstra, but will be looking into TPG when my plan is finished. I have used them before for my daughters phone and they are a lot cheaper.

  • Thanks everyone. We have just resigned with Telstra for $55 for each of the mobiles per month with $700 of calls and 1.5 GB of data, $15 month for the landline, and $30 month for the broadband with 25GB of data. That is saving us from what we were paying, and we now own our phones. How does that compare to others? We need to retain the landline to run the broadband through, and also because my elderly Mum won’t phone a mobile number (too expensive) and I need to be available to her as her and Dad have health issues where they need to contact me several times a day.

  • I’m on a vodaphone plan $80 per month unlimited calls and Internet. Been with them 4yrs

  • Not an easy question to answer, however we have 3 mobile phones, landline and internet bundles – my phone is the least expensive and the internet is 500GB per month – all up we pay just under $300.00 each month with Telstra.

  • Totally depends on your usage. Are you on pre-paid, plan, how much download allowance do you have etc. Sounds expensive when put simply but again, really depends on usage. Personally would never use Telstra or Optus for bundling/internet/mobiles as they can be expensive compared to other providers. Shop around if you’ve got the time!
