I have a question for all the Mums out there – I washed a black cardigan with a dark blue towel and now have dark blue pilling all over my black cardigan – any ideas how I can get it off without spending 12 hours picking at it????

  • I normally used sticky tape too.

  • Oh I hate it when that happens! :(

  • Stickey tape could be an idea.

  • I bought a cheap one from Ikea – love it!

  • How about the schticki…. Not sure how it’s spelt but only $7 cheap as chips

  • I brought this little comb from coles which is fantastic exactly for this.

  • lint roller or lint combs work well

  • Ikea sell a great sticky roller that does a good job, think it was only a few dollars.

  • Yes i use both sticky tape & pilling combs.

  • Yes I have used a comb type pill remover and battery one from ebay is more effective and quicker and can be bought cheap.

  • You can buy a pilling comb in the haberdashery dept. (BigW, Kmart have them.) They are usually dark blue. They work by ‘combing’ the area. Just be careful because it can sometimes catch. Cheap!

  • PICK use the large rolls of sticky tape wound around my hand with the sticky on the outside gets rid of any pilling on jumpers cardigans and blazers

  • We have a battery operated pilling machine, very small and compact and works wonders and I bought it from ebay.

  • I once had a battery operated mini shaver type thing that removed pilling by trimming it off. Far more effective than trying to pull off the bits.

  • i actually seen this on here use a dish scourer to get piling off it works a dream the lady said
