Hello!

Anyone have some good ideas on what to take camping? Don’t want to leave anything behind?

  • Tent food toilet appear!

  • Insect spray,food,snacks,first aid,games,fishing rods,beauty necessities,candles,bbq,etc

  • All the basics like bedding, clothing, food, water etc. but don’t forget to pack for the conditions. Depending on time of year and where you are, it can get cold (so plenty of layers to sleep in) or hot (so sunscreen, extra water, hats and shade). Don’t forget toilet paper and it’s handy to pack some games (eg cards) in case the weather is rainy and your stuck in a tent.
Don’t forget your sense of humour. Camping is great fun!

  • A tent or somewhere to sleep is essential as is bedding hehe will there be somewhere to cook? Utensils, crockery, cutlery, food, water, entertainment (fishing / boating / swimming gear) a deck of cards

  • everything lol. gotta cook food, need water etc. torches

  • My son used to go to camps at school and there was always a list . I rememberes the basics were sleeping bag, warm pants, a big drink bottle filled with water , small torch perhaps . I never used to camp at schools so not used to the outdoors really . Hope you have fun .

  • Fly spray surface spray. Sometimes you camp where there’s lot if flies or spiders or ants and they may be little but they can spoil your trip

  • Would love to go bush but caravan park sounds good as well, really don’t mind! Was thinking without power camping!

  • Was thinking like a weekend or something, have a family of 5 at the moment mum, dad, daughter 6, 3, 3!

  • How many days are you camping and how many people? Are you going bush or going to a caravan park? It does make a difference as to how much you will need to take with your for your camping trip.

  • If you are not sure what to take, maybe try an overnighter or 2 nights max to start with, then build up supplies and your own list of essential items as you go. For us, tent, sleeping bags and mats, sunscreen and mosquito spray, food (instant and some that can he cooked easily). Esky/fridge with water and other perishable supplies. Non breakable or disposable cutlery and crockery (although we try to limit things to finger foods), cooking utensils, torch, small first aid kit and not much else. I am presuming you are staying somewhere where bbq’s are available? Have fun, improvise and enjoy. Camping is never perfect, but the challenges and unexpected are what makes it fun.
