  • Just do something simple and have fun

  • Don’t stress about a theme just go for simple and stress free! Enlist other people to organise games and help with the catering and enjoy this special day :)

  • I don’t get the whole themes thing. Just have food, friends and fun. It’s that easy

  • I like the idea of a BabyQ, get everyone involved and make it a fun afternoon. Depending on the family maybe a superhero or fairytail theme, people love any excuse to dress up these day!

  • Busy bee is a nice theme, I also like rainbow or woodland themes although I’m not sure if they are really unique. Lots of beautiful ideas on pinterest!

  • I think that it a great idea, you could do a teddy bears picnic or go with the ladies nursery theme?

  • I actually just had a baby-que so that the men were invited too. It was amazing to see everyone all together and I tried to aim for pink and white polka dots lol not very unique but I thought it was cute :) had a pink/White lolly buffet that I made myself and all the prizes and games and drinks were based around the pink/white theme :)

  • What does your friend like? We had a batman/elephant theme for our daughter as that is what we were getting her for her nursery. So my friend did that theme as a baby shower. I think the theme is cute though ????

  • I would choose something like “Black and White with a splash of Bright”. It would be so great to dress up with crazy bright colours, clashing bold contrasts for cakes and decorations.

  • I like the bee idea as it is neutral. Also you can get some really love bee decorations, plates, table cloths etc.

  • Busy bee sounds terrific and sounds gender neutral as well, that is if the gender hasn’t been revealed.

  • I like the busy-bee theme… give everyone a job as they arrive (weed the garden, do the dishes etc.) and have them do that for the year! or at least the duration of the party.

  • What about a theme based on when mum was born, like if she was born in the 80’s then everyone’s dresses like mums in the 80’s and serve popular party food from the time. It will be fun seeing what her mums baby shower would have been like when her mum was pregnant with her. Plus who doesn’t love a dress up.

  • What about a colour theme. If she knows sex of baby then bring blue or dress blue colour, if girl then bring or dress pink. If she doesn’t know then maybe yellow or beige . I’ve never been to a baby shower , but it sounds interesting .
