My son has recently been invited to his very first birthday party in our new town and I have absolutely no idea what to buy as a present. I asked my son and he suggested a bouncy ball as the boy likes to play handball, but I’m pretty sure he already has enough of those. Oh, and my usual present of Lego has also been veto’d, so I’m out of ideas. I’d love to get a great present as my son is desperate to make some new friends and he thinks that this is important. Why are boys so hard?! Does anyone have any ideas for great presents under $30?

  • I suggested maybe a ds game if his into games or maybe something nice for his bed or a gift card so he can go pick something nice at the shops.

  • What about Ben 10 or Teenage Mutant ninja turtles (all the rage)

  • Board games, Lego, books, and anything Star Wars or Transformer go down well at 6 or 7 year old parties.

  • Pokemon cards are back in and would make a great gift.

  • Thank you ladies. Some great ideas here. Would you believe that it never even occurred to me to call the mother of the boy?! I have and the present is now sorted. I’ll definitely be checking this list though for future parties. Thanks.

  • cars trucks boats
