Hello!

I’ve making an angel cake which calls for 12 egg whites. What can I use the yolks for? Seems like a lot to waste.

  • Indonesian layer cake. It is rich but taste heavenly. A little goes a long way


  • I only ever know to make custard with the yolks but not 12 eggs worth


  • You can use these yolks as a hair mask also you can use these in any other recipe which make only with egg yolks


  • Mayonaise, custard??, or add it to a quiche or frittata


  • Mayonnaise or custard are the first things that come to mind.


  • Did you see the lemon biscotti recipe on here. It calls for 8 yolks….

  • Home made mayonnaise uses just yolks. There’s also a custard recipe for just yolks, is lovely on a pavlova


  • yolks are a great binder you can make frittata using yolks, any patties, you could even make cake using only the yolk.


  • Creme brulee
    Omelette with just the egg yolk is good


  • Gingerbread biscuits often need egg yolks only. Or add them to one r two eggs to make yolks scrambled gigs.


  • You could make Hollandaise sauce or Lemon butter :)


  • Use them in cakes , biscuits , home made custard the best.

  • Forgot to mention custard. Great for Christmas and if you make it from scratch you need egg yolks.


  • Caramel or caramel tart absolutely delicious it’s what I make whenever I make a pavlova.
