Hello!

We have been invited by close friends for Christmas Lunch and wondering what should be take?

It’s going to be a hot Christmas day as usual, so no hot meals or roast. Thinking of a rice salad, potato salad (bacon, eggs, dill something jazzed up a bit special then usual). Any ideas on what to take for Christmas lunch? The guests will range in age from 4 years to 60 years, no allergies. Something fresh, healthy and yummy would be perfect.

  • Maybe google some cold salads. Some thing with a lot of colour and mixture of textures that people may have not tried. Our family makes an amazing salad using cream and celery with oranges and apples and other bits. It’s a big hit.

  • A big rich salad: cherry tomatoes, capsicum, peas, corn, cubed feta cheese, cucumber… Very easy and colourful!!

  • Sorry, photo didn’t work the first time with my post (below)

  • A fresh fruit platter is something I always take and the kids love it.
