Hello!

Anyone know any must see TV series? We’re thinking about getting Netflix but I would rather save the money and watch things on tv.

  • The Good Fight and Vikings are my go-tos

  • So much good stuff – “This is Us”, “The Handmaid’s Tale”, “The Good Fight” are just three.

  • There’s not a lot of good regular tv viewing. Even when there are good tv shows, they stop fir off peak season. Netflix is only $15 a month

  • To have content without subscribing to Netflix or such you could consider the free iview available on the ABC. You can select most TV programs (including the movies they might air) on that site (they are made available for a few weeks after first airing) but there aren’t many series – in fact there are none – that I’d recommend watching.

  • Scandal, Jessica Jones, Shades of Blue, Westworld.

  • Netflix is definitely worth the small amount you pay per month although it chews through data. There is a wide range of shows on it for children and adults. I don’t personally watch much free to air tv due to Netflix and the kids haha.

  • Netflix is good for a binge.

Free to air is getting better these days though, I do love Quantico, Greys, How to get away with Murder.

  • We love Blindspot its a thrilling criminology series. I personally used to like Quantico but I have lost touch with missing a few episodes and the same with Winners and Losers but I used to watch it all the time. Another one I liked was Big Bang theory but with so many channels showing re-runs it is easy to loose track.

  • I like 800 words and shows like Offspring. I guess it really depends on what you’re into and whose watching. We have Netflix and I think its well worth the money. They have some great complete tv series like Suits, Mad Men, Friday Night Lights etc

  • Totally depends on what type of things you like to watch and how important watching tele is for you ! We have Foxtel (because my hub likes to watch English football) and record everything. There’s literally nothing on what I like to watch when I have time to watch, so recording works good for us.

  • It’s really very personal. I love “The Big Bang Theory”. The new season starts tomorrow evening on Channel 9. Other series you can find on free-air television and that I love are “The Middle” “Friends” “Everybody loves Raymond”.

  • Well our current favs are fireman sam, paw patrol or Go jetters… hahha.

  • It depends on your interests. If you have young children and want to keep an eye on what they are watching Channel 2 Kids is ideal. There is educational segments on some of them. If you like documentaries SBS have a lot for those with different interests. They also show cycling events. Most channels have movies each night with the exception of Channel 24 which is the news channel.

  • It really does depend on your taste. I always check with the library for recent series and new releases. They go to dvd very quickly and then we borrow them from the library.

  • There isn’t much on at the moment unless it’s reality or cooking shows. We are only watching Netflix or Stan at the moment as there’s nothing on that interests us on normal tv. Really depends on what you like to watch too. Sign up for the free trial and see if you like it
