  • Bananas – he seriously loves bananas haha

  • Using Purees was their first introduction to solids. I used the rice flake products as well in a mushy form.
With the puree they can suck it out of the spoon. Veggies first and slowly introduce other types of veggies.

  • Both of my kids preferred purees. My youngest was quite fussy once he tasted homemade puree, he then refused to eat anything store bought! Some favourites were pumpkin and beef flavours with rice or pasta.

  • I remember he loved his soggy weetbix

  • Purees to start like avocado and pumpkin, now she loves Baby biscuits

  • We went to purée foods first. Loved all the fruits and veges like sweet potato and pumpkin.

  • When my little ones started their first food they absolutely loved pureed avocado, fruit and vegie mixes like apple and sweet potato and so forth. When a little older steamed carrots and fruit that I would slice up to be held onto. Food can be fun and messy little ones love it

  • Puréed sweet potato.

  • As soon as my son waa eating solid foods his first favourite food was cold cucumber simple taste and crunchy

  • Both of my kiddies loved vegimite soldiers

  • When you start finger foods do not give carrot sticks. They don’t chew them enough and can easily choke, even at 18 months. There has been several warnings given various sites recently and on a couple of TV shows

  • My son loved puréed avocado, sweet potato and pumpkin, and he also loved banana purée

  • Puréed to start with as they’re easier to eat. The came finger foods as they got accustomed to eating

  • Mashed banana or avocado. It was so convenient when we were out and needed to prepare something in a hurry. Then all of a sudden she just refused eating them and wanted anything off our plate.
