  • Maybe some fashion jewellery/ accessories. My nieces aren’t that old yet, but I quite often buy them good quality clothes from op shops that I otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford, and they love them.

  • i would do a kmart trip and get tie dye kits of canvas painting kits for them. any excuse for kmart!

  • Books or games are always good !

  • 9 year old: craft kits

12 year old: Gift card for Cotton On

  • Arts and Crafts, science experiments jewellery, play make up, bath bombs.

  • definitely stationary and art and craft stuff . My daughter loves that stuff and if brought from a cheaper store like flash Harry’s can be rather cheap.

  • nail polish, hair spray, little make up bags, impulse body spray as that is the age many 9 and above girls seem to be showing an interest in that stuff even if it is just for use at home or when they go toa school disco or doing ‘beauty salon play’ etc, with their friends.

  • I got a really close friends daughters around that age gift bags at Christmas with a few things in them like nail polish, hair accessories, funky cheap costume jewellery, diary/notepad, fun stationery like pens, pencils, sharpeners, stickers, etc…
    Good luck!!

  • Movie tickets are always great for those ages :)

  • My daughter is 11 – turning 12 this year. They ALL want westfield gift cards or itunes gift cards. I always get westfield ones myself personally. It’s a hard age. With the 9 year old it would depend on interests alot at that age like art stuff but again a gift card is great these days.

  • $20 gift vouchers and take them shopping to spend it. They can choose their gift and you get to enjoy the shopping experience

  • craft resources or jewellery or girly things like impulse spray/perfumes. Maybe even an experience like a pedicure or movie ticket

  • If they like reading find out what types of books they like Have you asked a parent for ideas?
Do either of them like drawing? Maybe a sketch pad or coloured pencils. A 12 year old mike like an “adult” type colouring in book.

  • Books… Beanie Boos are huge… Maybe JoJo Bows.

  • Depends on the child and their interests. Smiggle stuff or a Smiggle voucher would be a winner, especially with heading back to school. A voucher or some jewelry from Lovisa. Craft kits or a STEM kit from Kmart are good value.
