Hello!

What’s the best way to get rid of cradle cap on a 4 month old bub?

  • I found baby oil go be helpful & comb it out with a baby comb before washing their hair.

  • Try massaging it with olive oil. I did this for my grandson and it worked a treat. His cradle cap hasn’t returned.

  • I used coconut oil on all my babies cradle cap. Works beautifully and is very gentle on skin.

  • Apply a little oil to the scalp regularly. I found that the cradle cap cleared up pretty quickly.

  • I used olive oil and it worked well.

  • I have heard that olive oil is the go. Apply to affected patches and leave for half hour or so then wash, paying gentle attention to scaley bits

  • Bi-carb and water seems to work- just apply bi-carb to wet head and massage in and then rinse off. You may need to repeat this if it comes back. I have also heard that olive oil can help.

  • We use coconut oil. Seems to work well if you are consistent and don’t let the scalp dry out again

  • I used pure olive oil for craddle cap.
Rub it in about 30 minutes before bath time, rince thoroughly and go over with a soft baby brush.
    Never had a problem since

  • Baby oil and stimulation like massaging or brushing daily. Use a non greasy baby oil like burts bee baby

  • Olive oil or moo goo (sold at chemist) worked best for us

  • Baby oil rubbed in gently.

  • soak in baby oil and pick it off

  • Massage their head with (baby friendly) massage oil just before a bath, and it will all fall off in the shampooing.

  • I tried a number of things that didn’t work, what did end up working I discovered by accident. After each bath we would rub Johnson’s Baby Oil with Aloe Vera into his skin, one day I started to rub it into his scalp as well (he didn’t have much hair at first) and it worked a treat, it didn’t take very long for it to disappear.
