First time going camping with hubby and our two girls. Ive got the normal things like bedding and extra clothes but im wondering what else i should take. Has there been something that you have taken that has changed the way you go camping with kids?

  • Heaps of changes of clothes! And sandles for rock pools. Mosquito coils

  • Turns out i overpacked on everything except lots of spare clothes which is what we needed for the kids.

  • Got jumbo marshmallows. Cant wait to show my girls how to cook them. Ive just packed a first aid box and will grab some colouring books and pencils.

  • Lots of snacks and colouring books. Definitely a hot water bottle for at night if you are going anywhere that its even close to chilly.

  • Fold up chairs or something that young children can sit on. I think a really important thing to take is a basic first-aide kit that includes something that can helps with bites and itchness from bugs, insects or plants. Make sure you have a small book and pencil in it so you can recall what that thing that bite someone was if needed later on.

  • If its cold thermals for sure!
I didn’t really take anything extra for my kids, just the basics really.

ohhh and lots of marshmallows haha!
