Hello!

There are so many things with a newborn to make sure they are ok but what is the single most important thing that will have the biggest impact on their well-being and health? Feed, clean, clothe, vaccinate, cuddle, stimulate, talk to, play with, teach, read to?

  • I don’t think there is any single thing that is most important. I think everything is an important factor in their and your well being.

  • Love and be consistent unconditional and available in your love

  • Just love them. And tell them that often.

  • All of them together would be best. Just love them with all your heart and soul and you’ll make sure everything else is done to keep them healthy happy and thriving

  • Love – spending time with them. If they are your first, second, third etc. Make sure you make time for them. Cleaning can wait, dishes can wait. You can never get this time back.

  • You forgot – love

    :)

  • It’s all of the above! Each separate thing shows the baby how you care for it and allows them to rely on you. No one expects super mum not even baby. Keep baby fed, clean clothes and nappy, bath when you can (at the start 1-2 times a week is plenty unless they get super dirty or have a poo explosion) lots of cuddles at the start are also important. As they get older, play and stimulation get more important but doing this for a new bub is still important. Let other family members help as well. You don’t have to do everything let others help wherever you want them to
