Hello!

Baby number 3 and I felt some flutters around 12 weeks but can’t feel them now at 14 weeks? Is this normal for 3rd time around? Placenta is posterior so not in the way. All looked fine at 13 week scan.

  • Yes totally normal for any flutters to be irregular at this early stage. Wait until about 18 weeks onwards and they should be getting stronger and more consistent. Enjoy your pregnancy!

  • My first was 16 weeks and the 2nd one was 17 weeks, soon after I developed a “sweet tooth”

  • fetal movement is usually felt by first time moms between 18 and 22 weeks, and in second time moms even earlier, sometimes as early as 14 or 16 weeks. It is sporadic in early pregnancy, and women report feeling movement one day but not the next. After 26 weeks, however, fetal movement should be felt on a daily basis.

  • I didn’t even know I was pregnant at 12 weeks. My first child moved around the 16-18 week mark and my second around the 20 week mark. We are all different and so are the babies. Don’t stress but mention it at your next appointment.

  • Felt my baby first movement at around 16 weeks :)

  • Everyone is different but If you’re worried speak to your GP

  • I remember not to feel the baby moving all the time. When you’re concerned chat about it with the midwife

  • My first child 17 weeks, second 19 weeks and 3rd child 19-20 weeks. Its all normal dont worry about it.

  • Each pregnacy is diffrent

  • Yes this would be normal. I found I could feel movement earlier with each pregnancy but that’s not always the case. If you don;t feel anything again by 16-18 weeks then get checked out.

  • 1st pregnancy was at about 16 weeks….. 2nd pregnancy was at 18weeks.

  • my first was around 17 weeks
my second was probably around the same, but my placenta was on the front and didnt feel as much movements as my first

  • Every baby is different. If you feel uncomfortable, give the hospital/midwife/doctor a call. They’re usually very helpful.

Mine was about week 16. Then at week 29, I didn’t feel any movement for 2-3 days straight. Called the hospital and midwife asked that I drink a whole can of Coca Cola ???? I’ve been avoiding it throughout the pregnancy, so was absolutely delighted to be able to drink it! Lol
To cut the story short, all went well. Started kicking again within the next 2-3 hours (mind you, I was so happy to be kicked!) and I called to inform the midwife. Could hear her sigh of relief ☺️

  • With my first I felt movement at about 16 weeks and then with my second at around 13-14 weeks. Every pregnancy is different so this one might just be a gentle mover! Not like my 2 :/
