Your baby should sleep without a pillow until they are at least 2 years old. Even then, the pillow they use should be small and firm. There is no rush to introduce a pillow, either. Consider waiting until you move your child to a toddler bed or even longer.
My little ones started to use pillows around the age of 1. Started using them of a day during there day sleep. And wanted one of a night. Most of the time they end up between there legs. Now nearly 5, the pillow still ends up between his legs. Depends on your child and if they request a pillow. I would use a flat pillow while they are still young
you don’t need to give them one at all, I think it’s more of a comfort thing. But as soon as they have established neck muscles I think it’s fine to give them one.
When they moved into a single bed, 2 years old. I also bought a “my first pillow”, I don’t remember what brand but it isn’t as big and it’ll be a gentle transition on their necks,
