My favourite option however is to DIY it! Have a look on pintrest for some ideas and you can make something really nice for really cheap!

Sometimes you can pick up cheap headbands at cheap as chips and artificial flowers With a hot glue gun and some imagination you can make a beautiful head piece for Melbourne cup !

Department stores usually have them at a range of price points. I think places like Diva used to do them too? Or have a look on ebay.

Myer and David Jones often have them and there may be some on special. Also; check out second hand/ charity stores as they often have them for sale too. Another thought is to have a go at making one – it would be unique and individual.

Target had a good range of fascinators last year for around $20-$25 dollars; eBay have stacks at great prices, but you’d need to get in quickly to receive it in time; if you’re feeling creative, Spotlight have a wide range of silk/paper flowers and sprays and pretty feathers that you could attach/glue to a plain headband or hair comb (available at most $2 shops). Have a great time – the Melbourne Cup is something that every lady should go to at least once!
