Hello!

I have used the sachets and some of my friends have used the bakers east and they say it works better. Which do you think is best, bakers yeast or the convenient sachets?

  • The secret seems to be the atmosphere. If you can place your dough in a warm environment to prove you should have success with either form of yeast.

  • Fresh bakers yeast is better in my opinion.

  • I’ve tried both and couldn’t tell the difference.

  • I’ve only recently started making more bread baking. Think I’ll be trying baker’s yeast too after all these comments.

  • Definitely bakers yeast.

  • I think they will keep longer especially if you store them in the fridge like one kind lady suggested to me!

  • I prefer the sachets , they are more convenient to use.

  • Thanks for all your advice. I have got some dried yeast so I will go and pop that in the fridge pronto! Thanks Mummydiva!

  • Bakers Yeast works better in my opinion!

  • bakers yeast if you store it correctly !

  • Bakers yeast, must be stored ion fridge though.

  • I use bakers yeast stored in the fridge. More bang for my buck!

  • Also; I store the yeast in the fridge too.

  • I buy dry yeast and store it in a container in the fridge. I’ve never had a fail with activation as you just need lukewarm water and a teaspoon of sugar. Bakers yeast is quite expensive so I don’t tend to use it.

  • In my experience Bakers yeast works well and is cheaper and lesser packaging too.
