  • Your scan date is most likely to be most accurate, but they shouldn’t differ too much.

  • I was given a due date after my scans but my baby was born eight days later, so I’m not sure whether the scans were correct or whether my baby was late.

  • each baby is different and measuring forward or behind at each scan is normal

  • I knew exactly because they were all IVF babies.

  • my case , i was near the last period predicted date….

  • I based it around the scan with my first but always kept the two dates in mind.
The last period is a very approximate figure as it does include a period of a few days where almost no one could fall pregnant then. Where as the scan measures the foetus to determine how old it is. :)
That said I came earlier than both of my dates haha

  • i would use the scan date unless u are very sure about ur period dates and that you have your period every month.

  • I agree – base it around the scan.

  • Im not sure about that one!

  • Your first ultrasound date would be my idea of when bub is due

  • How is it going? Have you had your baby yet ?

  • I would say the first altra sound date

  • Mine was based on my last period, as each scan it kept getting closer to it, and if you went off the first scan he would of been 99 percentile by the end!

  • *Closest it was meant to say

  • The 12 Week scan most times is the closet.
