  • GHD is better without a doubt!

  • I prefer Karmin !!!

  • give Karmin a try. (;

  • yeah i also reckon that you should get a remington model, that is just as good as a ghd but a mere fraction of the price. if you are just buying this brand from a hairdresser and prefer it, then go for it. If you just want a straightener, then shop around. You really will be paying a lot of money for just a brand name

  • ghd all the way baby! pricey but great!

  • I simply love my ghd, doesn’t damage hair like other heating elements.

  • ghd! my mum is a hairdresser and swaers by them and so do i :)

  • I’ve got really thick hair, and until I had it cut short, I always used a GHD straightener, which worked brilliantly. Can’t give an opinion on Cloud 9, but when in doubt, ask your hairdresser. Although my hairdresser swears by Vidal Sassoon hair straighteners, so go figure.

  • I’ve done so much online research on this. I’ve been using GHDs for approx 8 years now. I’ve had 3 in that time as they seem to have a 3-4 yr lifespan. The reviews are always mixed. It really depends on your hair type also. People who say they have used cheaper brands successfully don’t have the real frizzy hair that others have. The key is to get advice from someone who has used both and has the same hair type as you. If your hairdresser has a cloud 9 get her to use it on your hair and see how you go? GHDs are great, but I have heard that some of the limited ed ones with prints on it haven’t heated up as well. If you get a GHD just get a simple black one. And purchase through an online salon that sells genuine products like myhaircare.com. Much much cheaper and you usually get a free gift.

  • I only have a ghd and love it, so not sure about the.cloud 9

  • I Love my GHD hair straightener it seems they are a very popular brand as well and a reasonable price too

  • I purchased a new one a few months ago and not the GHD as my last one started to not heat as hot and sometimes just cuts off. The GHD if it has a fault and breaks down you cannot just go and swap it over, you now need to send it back overseas to be fixed so I went with the HALO and they are fantastic and if something goes wrong I can just get it swapped over.

  • Never tried cloud 9 but I Love my GHD!!

  • Love my ghd but I have never tried a cloud 9

  • I have ghd and absolutely love it!!!! But my hairdresser has a cloud nine and thinks it’s better, it’s really personal choice!
