Up until 2 weeks ago, I would go over to my mum’s house every morning and we’d enjoy a cup of coffee together. And now we’re all house bound and the closest I can get to my darling mum is facetime. Who are you missing having that coffee connection with the most?

  • My best friend. Our oldests are the same age (born 6 days apart) and I miss catching up with her and talking to her face to face about all that is happening, milestones, how the kids attitudes etc are changing. I just miss her.

  • I’m missing my outings with my youngest kids, we usually do story time and visit the local PCYC for kids fun. They are finding it hard being cooped up all day so they’re bored and eating snacks galore.

  • I’ve been having virtual coffee with my co-workers. We skype every morning at 9:30am. Its great!

  • I find that this crisis has brought the family closer together with hubby working from home now I enjoy seeing him more often daily and we now have time to have coffee together everyday

  • I am missing catching up with friends the most. It just doesn’t seem the same on zoom or on the phone – although I will be doing that as long as needed.

  • You could do a coffee over face time. Or when you have friends in the street each could set a chair in their own drive way whilst sharing a wine or coffee across the street

  • I’m rather noticing that I don’t have this problem – I never see anyone anyway.

  • Definitely missing coffee catch-ups and having to make do with virtual ones for now. Will be great when we all can get back together again but I don’t see that happening any time soon …..

  • My friend from mums group, every week we would go to rhyme time and catch up- we miss them :(

  • Those first coffee/catch ups after this is over will be heavenly!

  • i regularly FaceTime friends and family so i keep in touch which is good.

  • I am usually home alone most days as hubby working and kids at school so anytime or any excuse for a Coffee is a good ONE

  • Nobody in particular. But it’s a little bit sad thinking about not having dinner with some friends we like very much.

  • Everyone! I love coffee and catch ups but I am coffee/catch up time virtually. :)

  • I have never gone out for a coffee with friends but do miss my friends calling in and having an impromptu coffee here at my house. Still have one every morning from our wonderful coffee machine with my wonderful husband, so I guess I am still being indulgent. All our friends are calling but agree it’s not quite the same.
