  • I have had rosacea for about 7 years. The biggest issue I have with it is people asking “What’s wrong with your face”? Which is usually accompanied with a look of yuck/disgust. I try and avoid things that cause the flare ups like certain types of alcohol, sun exposure to the face, skincare products with harsh chemicals and stress. Not easy really. I have been switching to natural skincare products like Empassion Natural, Raww and Sukin and always do a patch test first. I avoid block out and wear a hat outside. Another big cause of flare ups is being outside in the cooler months then going into offices or shops that have the heat turned up at ridiculously high temperatures and this causes an instant feeling of a hot red face and voila, red angry patches and tiny pustules for the next few days. I also find that when driving into the sun having the airconditioning on helps, even in winter. Hope this helps.

  • I’ve seen many ads on tv advertising foundations that go on quickly and cover up rosacea.

  • If you can’t find a treatment, maybe a cover up is the go. Thin Lizzy 6 in 1 seems to be an amazing blemish cover up

  • I don’t have experience with rosacea myself, but there’s plenty of info about natural remedies around, for example here https://moogoo.com.au/rosacea-management/
