Hello!

Hi, this program is similar to the ISR (Infant Survival Resource) from the US. Quite popular in Sydney and a Perth and Melbourne location opening up this year.

Who has put their child through this? What was your experience?

I think the water familiarisation lessons held at pools are ridiculous as far as addressing the actual risks of drowning at an age where kids are quick enough to get themselves into water but not skilled to save themselves if need be.

  • No haven’t put my children through this but am curious to hear from other moms how they experienced it.

  • My niece has taken her babies to these. They were in Hobart and are bloody excellent! One of the best things you can do for your kids in my opinion

  • Haven’t tried it, but sounds like an excellent idea. Too many drownings every year

  • I did a couple of swim lessons with my daughter! It was really great to do!

  • Not personally. I have read a lot of negatives regarding the teaching methods they use

  • It’s quite similar. Have you had a bad experience with ISR?

  • I’m hoping it’s not the same techniques as iSR

  • i haven’t heard of this. Great skill esp’ if you have a pool at home

  • No, I have not heard of this program. The kids program is about everything related to the water – safety, skill and survival.

  • No I haven’t tried them. Where I take my daughter, it’s all about safety, not just playing or water familiarization.
I would be interested to know what the business is, so I can see what methods they use.
