Hello!

I don’t sneeze like she does everyday? I just don’t understand why this is happening to her! I don’t have pets inside, I dust and keep the house clean everyday, I don’t have allergies or hayfever?

  • I see this is an old question. How is your daughter going now with her sneezing ?

  • Could be anything from an allergy to just clearing the nose/throat. Unlike us they are unable to blow their nose so I guess sneezing is he only way for them to clear their nose at that age. Maybe for piece of mind ask your doctor just in case it is hayfever or something else.

  • Could it be asthma? I sneeze if my bose is irritated by smells or dust particles. Do you wear perfume? That could be why

  • I don’t have allergies either but we found out my son has quite a lot of airborne allergies. Might be worth getting tested if the sneezing is irritating her.

  • My little one sneezes heaps to. I don’t think much of it other than he is clearing his nose

  • could just be food or milk particles irritating the nostrils, sinus etc and i would take bub to the doc because something could be lodged up there.

  • My son has always been a sneezer, from the moment he was born, he is now 13months & still sneezes alot. Doc said it was normal as their body has gunk to get rid of.

  • It may not just be one thing it could be a combination of 2 or 3 things. If your baby is on solids she may have an allergy to a particular food, or in my brother’s case he has a slight allergy to a few different foods. If she eats foods that she has a slight allergy to close together it may be enough to trigger bigger symptoms. My brother is limited how many eggs he can have per week. He is highly allergic to pollen from some weeds and has tablets to take at night if he knows he is going in those areas for his work. Mum took him to an Allergist as they were called then and he was tested for a variety of foods, pollens and sap from various grasses, the lawn and bushes/trees. The joke was some that my Dad wanted an excuse to get rid of he wasn’t allergic to. He had the attitude that if you couldn’t eat it you didn’t grow it. It could be as simple as deodorant, the perfume in toilet paper , your dishwashing detergent, laundry detergent, liquid soap, toilet cleaner that have some type of scent/smell. A lot of thse things a close friend of ours is allergic to. He can only use one particular brand of soap for is hands/and in shower. They only use one particular brand of toilet paper. Chronic Hayfever can convert to Asthma later.

  • My 3 month old sneezes quite often.
The doctor told me not to stress as it could just be something in the air.

  • You can get her allergy tested. You might not have allergies but the family tree might. Simple blood test. I got my boy tested at 4 years only to find out he was suffering with hayfever with a 90% allergy to the house dust mite and I didn’t know. His now on polaramine and living life like a normal
    Kid

  • Quite normal for babies to sneeze a lot. Unless she has other symptoms (e.g. runny nose, red eyes, cough or temperature) and is generally happy there should be no need to worry.

  • For piece of mind, take her to you GP, that way you are completely sure and have a health professional’s advice.

  • My son coughs for no reason. He isn’t sick, but took him to the doctor anyway. Just said he is fine and to keep him away from airconditioning as it dries the throat.
A month later – still coughing!!!

  • Even if you do clean everyday; dust mites are everywhere. So if it is an allergy to dust mites; it is looking at furnishings.

  • I would suggest a visit to your GP for a check up. It may possibly be hay fever or it could be allergies or it may be nothing. Best to get it checked if unsure. Kids can be very different from their parents.
