Hello!

I would love to run a humidifier in my baby’s room overnight as he gets easily congested, however we live in an old house and mould could be an issue.

  • About 4x the mold… but the sleep is worth it

  • I always used them but only while the kids were actually sick. Need to give the walls a good wash down afterwards and air the room or I am sure there would have been a mould issue in our old federation house. I swear by them though for helping he kids breath so worth the work. .

  • Yes, mould will grow- I learned the hard way! The windows behind the humidifier had mould all over them after using a humidifier. Had to do a deep clean.

  • If humidifiers aren’t practical you could put a few drops of eucalyptus oil in a dish and leave that sitting in his room (obviously out of reach). If not try rubbing vicks on the outer side of his singlet near the chest, just make sure it doesn’t touch his skin.
