Hello!

There seems to be a lot of competitions for winning gift cards, and such like on the computer… I am interested in your replies to see if anyone has ever won one of these… They seem to hit you all the time. Now also be careful I had one yesterday that was with a deals firm, and it said for one dollar fee I could get thirty five dollars worth of goods, fuel, food etc. I have now gone in and read the terms and conditions so read all carefully as it says that you also pay a fee each and every month after the first free one. I went to the post office to see about getting a visa card to use, and fou nd yes they do have but costs you nearly seven dollars to buy, then you can just keep topping it up. Thinking about this way, any one every used one?

  • I would stay well away from any competitions that require you to pay anything.

  • there are competition site that may be legit but you can also look to write reviews for sites and get rewards too

  • I enter on this site and free samples but the rest -no!

  • I am very sceptical about entering online competitions. As the experts say, if it seems too good to be true, it most likely is

  • Like most of the MoM’s here, I’m very cautious about which competitions I enter. I don’t like the ones that ask for a lot of personal information.

  • I avoid theses online offers. If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. They have a lot on Facebook and they’re all spam…

  • These are a great idea for security reasons .. And with the gift card thing yes you do need to read all. The fine print ..

  • Competitions should be free, you got to be very carful which one to enter and which one not to.

  • Its usually a scam for them to obtain and sell ur email and personal information. Unless its done through a reputable site… id stay away!

  • I never enter competitions that seem dodgey like that. There is always lots of scam comps on Facebook. :/

  • Always check scam watch if unsure of legitimacy.

  • you can go to a bank and then they will give you a card that works like a visa. if you do alot of online shopping, then these top up cards are great

  • just enter on websites you trust
a lot of people enter so you’ll have to be lucky and patient

  • I enter alot but that one sounds a bit dodgey
