Hi there As I have mentioned in an earlier post, school readiness is about more than a child’s chronological age. Mums and dads really need to think about their child’s social and emotional maturity as well as their physical stamina, motor coordination and language skills…and of course, we mustn’t forget their social skills because even the brightest child can have trouble with sharing and learning how to lose in a game!! These are crucial to a child’s social success and to transition well to school, they need to be accepted by their peer sand feel like they below.
