  • You have à good point. Do you think we judge ourselves and our kids too harshly because we compare them with others?

  • It’s so true! I think we all know those days of throwing the wipes at your child as they climb into the car running late, handing them an apple for breakfast while running after them with a sticky roller to get the cat hair off their jumper…WAIT! Or is that just me ;p

  • A good point, hard to remember but definitely need to put this into practice.

  • All the world wears masks and we should all be so aware of it. Both of other people’s and our own masks. Comparing always used t make me feel sad until I realised this, and now the only time I compare myself, is when I look in the mirror, to make sure my mask is on straight, my clothes are not awry and to smile at myself when I suggest I have a happy day. And it works.

  • This is one that I do quite often, and I am always relieved when i see the person i am comparing myself to have that confrontation or issue with their child – it shows me that deep down we are all the same, we all have issues with our kids sometimes, some people are just way better at hiding it than others!

  • One of the hardest things to do, but a good reminder to stop comparing ourself to others. Everyone is different and that’s s good thing.
