Five year old indecently assaulted in Sydney
Police are searching for a man who allegedly indecently assaulted a five-year-old girl in Sydney’s inner west, reports 9 news.
The girl was approached by the man on Wentworth Park Road at Glebe at about 8.20am on Saturday, NSW Police said.
Officers were told he indecently assaulted the girl before running away.
Police are trying to identify the man, who is described as being of sub-continental appearance with a slim build and black hair.
He was wearing a white T-shirt with a black motif on the chest and grey tracksuit pants, police said.
Boys charged after junior soccer attack
Charges have been laid following a weekend incident in which three boys carrying a knife rode motorbikes on to a sports venue, robbing a woman and terrorising children who were playing soccer games, reports 9 news.
Police allege a 12-year-old boy and two others, aged 13, rode on to the field at speed while children’s soccer matches involving up to 200 children in under-eight, -nine and -10 matches were in progress in Armadale in Perth’s south.
It is alleged the trio rode near a spectator, stealing her bag, and as they tried to leave people tried to stop them, but one of the boys produced a large knife and threatened them, police said.
Three boys were later arrested at homes in Armadale and Brookdale and charged with various offences including aggravated armed robbery, stealing and reckless driving.
Police are investigating an attempted child abduction in Sydney’s west
Police were told that on Thursday afternoon (25 May 2017) a 15-month-old boy was in the children’s play area at Macquarie Street Mall in Liverpool. The boy’s mother was standing a short distance away watching the child.
A man picked up the boy and began walking away towards Elizabeth Drive. The boy’s mother yelled and ran towards the man, who handed the boy to her and then left the area in an unknown direction.
The man is described as Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, about 45-years-old, medium build, clean shaven, with black hair combed back and wearing a black woollen long sleeved jacket.

WA teacher admits to child exploitation
A 61-year-old PE teacher has pleaded guilty in a Perth court to four child sex charges after police found photographs on a computer seized from his home late last year, reports 9 news.
Peter Bernard McCormick pleaded guilty in Perth Magistrates Court on Monday to three counts of indecently recording a child and one count of possessing child exploitation material.
McCormick’s bail was renewed and he will face the West Australian District Court for a sentencing hearing on July 28.
