Good Morning Britain viewers have slammed a mother who claimed the MMR vaccine ‘doesn’t work’ and measles is not serious.

Biba Tanya appeared on the ITV show in a controversial segment about vaccines – but has been accused of shouting over the resident Dr Hilary Jones, the hosts and other guests.

As well as incorrectly claiming the measles, mumps and rubella vaccine doesn’t work, Ms Tanya said ‘measles isn’t a serious condition’, reports Daily Mail.

The mother-of-three, criticised parents who “break the skin and shoot [their children] full of toxic adjuvants,” claiming vaccinating your child is the worst possible thing you can do for their wellbeing.

Dr Jones quickly corrected her claims, which prompted outrage among dozens of angry Twitter users who say public health is at risk because of views like hers.

Viewers have called Ms Tanya a ‘screaming banshee’, ‘a deluded old b****’, ‘nasty’ and ‘very aggressive’ because of her row on television.

The MMR vaccine has been proven to be safe and effective but many parents are still afraid it could harm their children, a myth which has spread online.

Ms Tanya claimed measles is ‘not a killer disease in a healthy child’, arguing that children who had died in the past had been unhealthy to begin with.

  • If some people don’t want to immunise it’s their choice. Hopefully their children stay healthy. This doesn’t give this woman the right to tell people it’s dangerous to vaccinate their own children. I wonder if she was vaccinated as a child. She is very rude and also very callous to say the children who died were probably not healthy in the first place. What a b***h. Those children didn’t deserve that fate whether they were vaccinated or not.

  • What nonsense. You can choose not to immunise your child but you can’t argue for any good reason why not to. Children all need immunising.

  • Some people are so dangerous in the messages they send out. Vaccines help prevent diseases that would otherwise be harmful to small children. To not vaccinate is irresponsible in joy opinion

  • Unhealthy to begin with does not mean a child should die from something we could prevent. What a terrible thing to say.

  • When will we all realise that vaccinations are safe for the vast majority of tge population and are necessary to keep us all slice and well.

  • She has an opinion that might affect the lives of children whose parents are convinced not to vaccinate.

  • Everyone has their own opinion so what she don’t believe but that’s her own choice, people will suffer there own consequences. People shouldn’t judge whatever happens is there own fault everyone has been told we are not children we are adults we make our own decisions and choices in life bjt being judgemental is irrelevant focus on your selves rather than others they are irrelevant to you they are not part of your life nor you know them!

  • The wealth of science and the wealth of proof about vaccines working and still this discussion goes on.

  • She has the right to have her own opinion but brings it rather harsh when she criticised parents who “break the skin and shoot [their children] full of toxic adjuvants,” claiming vaccinating your child is the worst possible thing you can do for their wellbeing.
However the responses on her opinion are rather harsh and disrespectful when they call her screaming banshee’, ‘a deluded old b****’, ‘nasty’ and I don’t know what.

    • Both sides seem harsh and aggressive debates rarely win the day!

  • I can’t believe some people still believe that vaccination is a bad thing. I seriously hope their children don’t get these awful diseases.

  • Where do people like this get off? Seriously, saying that a child that died from a disease diagnosed by medical professionals was already sick to begin with is both insensitive and utterly stupid. Given the fact that she has no medical degree with which to diagnose anyone, doesn’t understand basic science, statistics or even what measles can really do its a wonder they gave her any airtime at all.

  • It’s such a touchy topic both my daughters are vaccinated people don’t realise not vaccinating your child is dangerous and can easily be passed onto new born babies. I went a conference recently with work bout Diseases and they were saying kids that aren’t vaccinated these days have 90% chance of contacting hep B when they older so scary
My daughter goes to school with a girl who is not vaccinated which I didn’t know about and a few mums were all taking about kids being sick and I said about the conference I had been too and non vaccinated kids and how it puts every one else at risk well then the mother turned and gave me the hugest lecture mind you her daughter is always in hospital sick

  • And people wonder how ‘fake’ news is spread?
Well this lady is doing it very well – spreading fake news.
Of course vaccinations for measles are necessary – my child would still be alive today if the vaccines were around when she was born.

  • OMG this mother needs education in many ways. She has been uneducated somewhere along the line. I bet she has her dog or cats vaccinated.

  • If you contract measles in Australia, you will be reported to the Health board and a national alert sent out advising there was a measles case in the suburb where you live. If the Government are concerned then I think there is good reason
