Haha, good on her. I always changed my babies nappies quickly but I’m sure at tjmes the smell offended other people. Now my kids are older it annoys me too!

I played the video, but had no volume for me, though my computer speaker/s are set to the top. Reading the text, maybe she could have said it a bit different, leaving out the fact that she reckon the baby had certainly filled the nappy, and just informed the mum that there was a toilet change room facility at the front of the store (just in case the mum didn’t know)

I would agree with Tara although I probably wouldn’t tell the person to change it. It wouldn’t be very comfortable for an adult to sit in its own poo so why should a baby?

Some children have a lot of wind. As for myself, I have had no sense of smell from birth or young age. So I would never be able to tell by smell alone only if child was un comfortable or I decided to check the nappy. I have seen my son gag at his daughters nappies which to me it does not matter.

I think she definitely could have said something a bit lighter. That could’ve easily come across quite condescending. Who knows what kind of day that other mum was having. I’m sure she wasn’t planning on leaving her baby in a dirty nappy – maybe she was trying to get her stuff done quickly so she didn’t have to go back. People are so quick to judge, criticise & rant these days. She could have reworded what she said with a lot more kindness while still making a point.

I get her point, but it’s a little mean. If the smell offends her she could always remove herself from the situation and rant to her friends if she needs to rant about it publicly. Mums are busy enough criticising themselves, they don’t need more criticism from others.

When my son was a baby he was a farter of disgusting odours. I always changed him pretty quick but there were some days there was just nothing in the to change no matter how bad the smell was or how long it lingered.
