This mum of three has the most exuberant glow. Plus this super-mum jumps off waterfalls in her spare time for some extra exercise…who doesn’t? So what’s her secret?

Byron Bay native Abigail O’Neill, a 45-year-old Mum of three, has an impressive Instagram following for one envy-inducing reason – she looks so incredibly young!

Speaking to Beauticate, Abigail said the secret to her youthful appearance is a 12 minute miracle shower designed to plump the face, relieve the mind and tone the body. That really does sound like a miracle!

A Basic Routine

Abigail says that the shower consists of a basic routine completed three times. It involves turning the water in the shower on hot for three minutes, then cold for three minutes, trying to “go as hot and cold as you can bear.”

A model, Abigail says she has followed the routine for more than 30 years.

“I have no doubt it has contributed to my youthful appearance, which is why it is one of my top tips,” she said.

It should be noted, however, that this 12 minute youth boosting shower is not the only thing that Abigail does to keep herself in shape. We knew it was too good to be true…

Superfoods and Self Control

Abigail’s diet is loaded with superfoods and ruled by incredible self-control (no Dairy Milk blocks in sight).

To start the day, she has a glass of lemon water followed by fruit, barley green and spirulina The Sun reports.

The rest of the day is equally as healthy with antioxidant smoothies, root vegetables, legumes and green salad all on the menu.

If she does feel like something indulgent, Abigail snacks on 100% raw chocolate. Oh and she doesn’t allow herself any cheat days when it comes to her eating habits, so there isn’t a Friday night takeaway to be seen.

Abigail also follows a strict exercise regime but keeps it fun (?), with climbing cliffs, leaping off waterfalls and surfing some of her favourite activities.

Turns out that whole secret 12 minute miracle shower thing is probably about 1% of the reason Abigail looks the way she does…

While it’s difficult not to envy Abigail’s eternal youth, there’s also something to be said for how you feel within yourself – and we don’t think you have to give up that extra coffee or sneaky slice of cake to achieve that.
