Fitness blogger ridiculed online for doing exercise moves while shopping with her two young children in tow.

Sia Cooper, 28, who runs a successful fitness program for mums called Diary of a Fit Mommy, was blasted on Instagram with followers telling her she was just an attention seeker.

Others labelled her crazy and one posted, ‘Don’t make me feel bad for roaming the aisles while snacking on cheese doodles,’ after watching the video of Sia lunging down aisles with her basket and baby on her back, which has received over 73,000 views.

She even does some lifts while going through the self serve.

Sia hit back sharing another shot with the caption: “So someone negatively commented yesterday that I should’ve done my video in Walmart because I would’ve fit in better … referring to the common thought that Walmart is a crazy, trashy place. Soooo… I did! Because that’s how I clapback at my haters.”

While one woman labelled Sia’s workout as ‘the workout you do when you’re desperate for attention from strangers’ and another mum commented, ‘as if any woman would actually do that’ – a lot of busy mums like her approach to fitness. And want to try exercising anywhere, anyhow too.

She even did a bit of a wine workout at the bottleo! Watch below

Good on her! I am not confident enough to do anything like that, but if it gets the exercise done when you are on a tight schedule. Then go for it!

Would you give exercise a go while doing the shopping?

  • I’m a bit surprised that the larger child’s face is blocked out in one photo and not the other. She was possibly filmed on the store security cameras too.

  • There’s not really anything wrong with getting some exercise when you can, but given it’s not a “normal” environment for this, I’d hope she’d be aware of not obstructing other shoppers.

  • I don’t have a problem with this and do exercise when I go to the shopping centre too – go up flights of stairs instead of taking elevators and do laps too. As for the comment of someone feeling bad for eating when shopping – why? Everyone has free choice – eat or exercise and just don’t worry about others. Be so focussed on what you are doing that it just does not matter if others look at you or comment.

  • Yeah exactly if somebody don’t like her what she’s doing and where don’t watch her vedios. Everyone have the right to do whatever they like.

  • She’s making money from it so the joke is on the haters. If you think she’s an idiot looking for attention then just don’t follow her. Simple.

  • I enjoy shopping too much to spoil it with exercise ;D

  • Not something I would do – I hate drawing attention to myself – but if it works for her, why not?!

  • Good on her, it if she didn’t want attention why have someone follow her with a video/camera then sharing it with the world?

  • I’ve totally no problem with that.
I might not exercise in the shop, but often sing out loud with my girlie in the shop. She has a hearing loss, so I’ve to make sure she hears me ;) I sure get some looks, but I don’t mind.

    • Sounds delightful – mums and children dancing and singing is just beautiful! :)

  • No l would not do it but good on her,it is her life and she is being healthy!

  • I don’t think I could do it, but good for her for doing it. She’s just showing how easy it is to incorporate exercise into your daily life when you have kids. That’s no reason to hate on her

  • I don’t think I would be trying this as I would get too embarrassed. Good on her for keeping fit though.

  • Good on her. Personally I wouldn’t do it because I don’t like being at the centre of attention. But apparently she doesn’t mind. :-) And the older child seems very proud of her mum! :-)
