One very over tired mum has listed all the “dumb” names in her son’s school yearbook leaving lots of parents in total shock.

Allison Czarnecki , a writer from Utah, wrote: “I’m too tired to sleep so I’m going to tweet out the dumbest Utah names from my son’s Junior High yearbook.

“These are legit 100% real names straight from the yearbook.”

She then lists a huge selection of names in seven separate tweets, including –

Preslee, Taeton, Daxton, and Maklain.

Some of them are traditional names but with unusual spellings, including Alyxandrya, Zoie and Maddyson.

Madolin. Kolten. Atylee. Mekeli. Paityn. Kyson. Taeber. Saydee. Makinlee. Haleigh. Braylin. Syrie. Madisyn. Kirtlyn

Madysen. Aeryn. Taiten. Taycie. Gambit. Aroarin. Braxton. Macady. Maycee. Jaxon. Ryker. Jaxon. Jr. Laycee. Taeton.

Kelldrix. Kaydenz. Taeg. Macee. Jazmyne. Questin. Katharin. Remington. Shaelynn. Jordyn. Jadyn. Macilynne. Kayleigh. Kayson.

Jaidyn. Tayson. Maddyson. Bayli. Kaydee. Madyson. Madysen. Rylei. Braelyn. Micaylee. Ashlynn. Braxton. Dezalin. Dreyasin. (The last two are twins.)

Did she go too far? She really doesn’t seem to care! Writing on Facebook, “Half the free world wants to kiss me on the mouth; about 50 people want to have me arrested. If you’re offended, I’m sorry.”

Adding, “So many of them are friends. Two of the more unique names are good friends. I didn’t selectively omit names of friends. I’m an equal opportunity harrasser?”

  • I do agree that some people go a little over the top with their own spelling of names but also you need to remember that some names can be family names and some names can be from other nations.

I work with children and certainly do come across some weird and wonderful names. The most odd would have to be a girl whos name is “Chilli”

  • This is ridiculous coming from a person with their handle as Petit “Elefant”. I just wonder what her kids names are. I say no more.

  • LOL there are so many silly kids names in my daughter’s class too including BeeJay and Braelyn (both boys).

  • The dangers of not being able to sleep – it can be a form of torture! I wonder if she’s regretting it now.

  • Not something I would do, it borders on cyber bullying naming these children. Imagine if they saw?

  • I would have thought as a “professional” writer Allison (2 ls???) could have come up with a better adjective than “dumbest” for her little rant! I’m not that keen on changing names or making them up, but at least two of the names on that list are neither. Like others I feel sorry for the children affected by her diatribe and have no doubt her children are mortified. Tiredness is not an excuse for cyber bulling.

  • The list had some interesting names on it. Not everyone likes the same name but to publicly shame them is wrong.

  • Just because she couldn’t sleep didn’t give her the right to be mean. My son has an unusual middle name that has been in the family for generations, when we put his birth in the paper everyone thought there was a typing error. It has nothing to do with anyone else except the family what a child’s name is or how the name is spelt.

  • I feel sorry for the kids whose names she’s ridiculing as well as her own kids, who are going to cop the flak from their peers because of their mother’s actions. I just find it all unnecessary. Bullying 101!

  • Absolutely not nice what she did. Some names may look “weird” to some people, but they have a very personal and deep meaning to the kid’s parents.

  • I don’t understand why people chance the spelling of these names. I don’t agree with what she did either

  • What an immature / childish behaviour.

  • These are kids who didn’t pick their names so unnecessary to mock them publicly.

  • Totally uncalled for …. find something better to do with your time ….

  • Personally sounds to me like her sleeping medication has affected her brain. No seriously dear try doing some ironing when you can’t sleep as this is way out of line.
