OMG your poor son and it looks so painful. I hope he gets better soon and don’t you dare go blaming yourself for this happening. We can all say why didn’t you do this or that but what it all boils down to is we would have probably done the same. I wish him a speedy recovery. I had my young son (11 months) in the car and he was hot so I took his hat off him and took his shoes off to keep him cool when I had a tyre blow-out. The brakes locked and the car tipped over and rolled a few times. I ended up with a damaged leg but my son was covered in blood. We were raced to hospital and they kept us overnight. The blood from my son was from surface cuts to his head, otherwise he was fine. I felt like such a bad mother when the doctor said if I’d left his hat on he would have been fine. Turns out his car seat took the full force of the impact and most of the glass that cut his head had gone into the car seat instead of into him. Wish you both all the best
