  • Well done, whatever works for you I say.

  • Very impressive! I was in no frame of mind or physically able to do any dancing. Just lots of screaming, and rolling, and drugs!

  • Dancing is such a great way to deal with pain and contractions as it is very relaxing to body, mind and spirit !

  • Keeping moving always helps, I found. Good on and love the video.

  • Wow, good luck to her. I was bed ridden (broken waters) for both of mine

  • Dancing would probably help – not too different from using a fit ball to bounce through contractions

  • think this is brilliant idea loved watching it,and keeping busy and moving, feel would help distract from process of labour, My first pregnancy worked right up to going into hospital. Where i was shaved, exaine via my bottom(young and totally shocked).. Then put in room in hospital and left’literally’ contractions camefast and furious so kept getting outof bed and panting then press buzzer and back on bed, this went on for quite awhile. Nurse came in and said ‘I am having baby’ she condesendantly placated me. Said i hd been pressing buzzer, she said it did not work.Said it is your first and youwill be ages but will take a look! Head in process of emerging and it was action stations!!!!! In three hours had perfect son ,second prgnancy was 2 hours, no doctor came so lay in wlabour room, cleaned up and waiting for stitches, for over an hour, then strange doctor came and said feet back in stirrups no way out but i was moving away from him all time.. Best stitches i had on reflection no pain as they knitted my body back. Other incedent I remember I had to have ray lamp on stitches and then some healing spray put on. One nurse did it in reverse and i nearly hit the ceiling with hot searing pain….said if you ever do that to me again i will break your fingers (yes that bad was the pan) Strangehow reflection brings back images long dormant to be expressed…. Both boys well and grown and I am still here too.. Women are wonderful, msgnificent and amazing, wouldd love to see man’s reaction to giving birth!!!!!! Me in my 40’s at makeover, great fun

  • Looks like fun! Absolutely not the scene during my contractions. Mind you, maybe when I was on the gas and pethidine. Couldn’t tell you! The epidural put a stop to any dancing I may have wanted to start.

    • oh lol. i had nothing lol so i wasn’t dancing either :)

  • The dancing probably helped the final outcome if the truth be known.
Congratulations on the video and also on a 10lb er nearly 11lb er baby – that must have been the hard part.

  • To be honest, I think she would have been dancing between contractions rather than when she was actually having contractions, but the video is very funny. A good way to pass the time and lighten the moment to take her mind off the pain.

    • During contractions would be so very hard!
