We thought a wedding is all about celebrating forever love. But it’s clearly more about forever gifts for this bride.

A demanding bridezilla has shared the crazily long list of presents she would like to receive from her guests, together with a spreadsheet to make sure there are no double-ups.

The not-so-subtle gift suggestions included $580AUD in cash or a gift card to a luxurious department store, as reported in the Sun.

Other ideas included designer clothes and accessories plus expensive kitchen appliances.

Bossy Bride

The bride shared her list on Facebook, which was then re-published on Reddit. On the post, she wrote:

“So we are all aware that my wedding is coming up in October.

“To all those coming to my wedding, there are a list of gifts that you can bring. You MUST choose from the list or consult me first. There are no exceptions.”

She then went on to share her desired gifts:

“Any KitchenMaid appliances over $350 ($AUD510) this does NOT mean regular kitchen items like an apron or spatula. I’m talking about their stand mixer, blender, etc.

“Any Gucci or Louis Vuitton purses. Other purses are allowed but please consult me first.

“Any clothes OVER $400 ($A580) from Calvin Klein, Moschino, or Nora’s.”

Amazingly, the bolshy bride even asked for new floor tiles for her home, although she did admit that it was a “bit of a stretch” but “I’d gladly appreciate it”.

To top it off, she also asked for a new car “or anything in relation to the car,” she wrote.

But there was more:

“Any Korean or Asian beauty products totalling $400 or more, any HIGH CLASS paintings or decorations totalling $400 ($A580) or more, or a cash gift of $400 ($A580) or more.”

The woman rounded off her list by saying while there is a lot of things on her list, she still expects everyone to spend at least $A580 on wedding gifts.

“I’ll accept slightly lower amounts as long as you tell me first,” she posted.

“Also, everything on here is first come, first serve. Here’s a link to the spreadsheet where you can find who’s bringing what.

“Remember to apply early if you don’t want to get me a Gucci purse or anything you don’t want to get.”

Bridal Backlash

The response to the bride’s post was harsh and immediate with people shocked at her demanding behaviour.

“This is just rude tbh. Presents aren’t because you are entitled to them. They’re because I want to show you my love and appreciation,” said one comment.

“I’d show up with whatever I thought she’d like that I could afford and if I’m turned away at the door I’ll return my gift and get my money back,” said another.

What About The Groom?

Many pointed out that the groom was completely left out of the gift list.

“She also says ‘my’ wedding. I hope the groom gets the hell out of there!”

Another shared: “What about the groom? Aren’t wedding gifts supposed to celebrate your union.”

Many Reddit users said guests should ignore the present list completely.

“I really hope that everyone invited to the wedding thinks the exact same thing so every present they go to open is a bumper sticker or some car item that costs less than $5,” said one.

Another joked: “I’m gonna go ahead and spend $400 ($A580) on a divorce lawyer as that should cover the groom’s first hour with him. Anyone want to pitch in?”

  • wow – if she was that demanding with her wedding gifts, just imagine how demanding she will be for the first child gifts! – not someone I would want to celebrate a wedding for – if it was me I’d probably tell the groom he was making a financial mistake marrying her!

  • Never heard like this story before.

  • Probably not someone I’d want to remain friends with, let alone go to her wedding. What ever happened to the underlying reason for a wedding – to celebrate the love between two people?

  • There is no way I would ever be friends with someone like this! The whole point of a marriage isn’t about what gift to get it’s about marrying your soulmate celebrating that. If someone had those to moms and told me I would definitely not be going to the wedding !!

  • Well she must have rich friends and family, I am amazed at the demands, I hope they get a good meal at the reception.

  • It is a pretty extreme and unfair list. You should never expect anything from your guests! I couldn’t afford to buy her a gift that’s for sure!

  • Maybe she is from a wealthy family, her groom is marrying her for her money, and her friends are as shallow as she is! Win-win for everyone involved. LOL.

  • I wouldn’t be friends with such a person in the first place, let alone attend their wedding.

  • The level of entitlement is overwhelming!

  • Wow! What a horrible person! I’d be thankful I got anything and I certainly didn’t expect people to pay such ridiculous amounts and to demand it as well?

  • What a selfish, greedy, materialistic person. I wouldn’t want to attend her wedding.

  • I would actually think this list was a joke and not serious. Fashion items?? What an entitled human being. I would actually buy whatever I felt comfortable with of my own choice or not bother turning up.

  • Maybe no one will turn up & she’ll get nothing.

  • Omg groom needs to run away very shallow if she can’t afford those things herself she should expect guest to purchase them for her also a wedding gift should be for both groom and bride not just the bride so selfish and what guest can’t afford that I would go find a knock off and watch if the bride uses it or not and see who has the last laugh

  • wow what a sad life she will have
