Seems we are not the only ones that thought this act on Australia’s Got Talent was in poor taste!

We shared the discussion yesterday asking what you guys thought with many agreeing it was disgusting.

“I think I’m pretty open-minded but I thought Pricasso was just too much! My five year old LOVES the Got Talent shows but there is NO way I’m going to let him watch this one. It felt like a pretty seedy stunt to get us talking about it (I guess, it worked!). What did you think? Did your kids watch the show? Would you let your 5 year old watch it?”

Others agreed that it shouldn’t be on in the time slot and was not for young viewing.

“Shouldn’t be on. Suppose to be a talent show.”

“My kids love this show but I would definitely not let them watch this”

“Same we switched it off! Not appropriate for that time of night let alone a PG show.”

” I actually found it entertaining for a raunchy Vegas show or something…. but absolutely inappropriate for family friendly TV…. maybe Australia is way more lax than the US”

“I was a bit shocked as I was sitting with my 10yr daughter. I tried to cover her eyes but she’d already seen it. A bit of warning would have been nice!”

One of you even suggested, “A complaint should be made to channel 7. Isn’t there an ad that says you can complain is you find something inappropriate? I see the funny side of this but not in a PG time slot. Lots of young kids watch this show and it’s not appropriate for them to see.”

Turns out people actually did make official complaints.

The appropriately named “Pricasso” soon had viewers shouting down the phone lines.

ACMA confirmed to Yahoo Lifestyle that the segment which featured the performance artist paint judge Shane Jacobson’s likeness, using only his nether regions, prompted official complaints.

The media authority said a number of official complaints had been made regarding the inclusion of the censored, but suggestive performance during a typically family-friendly time slot of 7pm.

“The ACMA has received three complaints about the episode of Australia’s Got Talent,” the authority said last night.

One of the acts on Monday nights episode really wasn’t much better either! Watch below.

  • It was cewrtainly very clever and very funny. It was adult entertainment and probably not something for young children to see,

  • Yeah, I think the time slot is the real problem here.

  • It’s probably not the right time slot, otherwise they could have had a warning like ‘This next act may contains adult themes and is not suitable for young viewers’. He’s very talented though…. I wonder how he just woke up one day and decided to try this? Did he lose all his brushes and just had an extreme need to paint? So many questions…..

  • Definitely not appropriate. More of a hens night activity, although I agree he is very talented.

  • That’s one way to get people talking about the show. Definitely not the right time slot for that act!

  • Definitely should have been on a later time slot. Who would want their child/teenager getting ideas from Pricasso. The other one wasn’t a lot better when he decided not to stay standing.

  • There’s no way I could watch this. I think it was totally inappropriate for this show. I was amazed how old he was because he certainly doesn’t look it but his act is more for after midnight or porn shows.

  • We haven’t watched it

  • It was shocking more than anything. I thought it was a joke. Admittedly, it was the absolute last act but an interesting one. I was screaming out to my teen son and hubby… in shock!!

  • Pretty disappointing. I imagine Channel 7 will be getting several complaints.

  • I’m sorry, this is not the sort of thing that people want or expect to see on this show. Alot of families watch this show. I’m not a prude but there is a time and a place for this sort of entertainment and it is certainly not on free to air TV. I think the producers of this show certainly need to up there game if they want to keep viewers.

  • Ughhhh certainly not something you see every day. He’s obviously a talented artist though, and could paint well with anything I imagine.

  • These sort of acts should be on a separate show just for adults only. I thought it was extremely poor that any inappropriate acts should be allowed on a family friendly show. Then allowing them to go to the next level was definitely not on So disappointing! If AGT continues down this road I will be switching over to another channel.

  • I think AGT has stooped to an all time low, supposed to be family friendly and I do not want to see half naked men (or women) on these types of shows. I wish I had made a formal complaint too, might still do. I was also shocked that they started with a dangerous knife act too, we do not need shock straight away, they should put this show on much later than 7pm so little kids are in bed.

  • It was definitely not suitable for this time slot. Hopefully all future episodes are reviewed.
